However it is recommended to try it on a small area first and always follow the cleaning instructions provided. Not all blackboards are suitable for this chalk marker. Please try the chalk markers on a small area first to avoid damaging your chalkboard.

Safe Surfaces: Best when used on these non-porous erasable surfaces - varnished wood, whiteboards, blackboards, glass, plastic, metal.

How to get started.

1. Shake well before each use. These non-toxic, water-based markers need to be shaken thoroughly before use to mix the pigment. We recommend shaking the capped marker until you hear something shaking. If you don't hear the object inside the marker shaking, remove the cap, press the tip of the marker down once to release the pressure, replace the cap, and shake again. Make sure the marker cap is tight and keep your finger on the cap when shaking to avoid splatters.

2. Color the marker.

Gently press the tip on the paper until you see the pigment water reach the bottom of the tip. Once the entire tip is filled, stop pressing, further pressure will cause the marker to leak and stain around.

The markers very easy to use, they show up really bright on black chalkboards, and the color definitely lasts.

In order to get to the color started, I had to press most of them in and let the color flow.

The tip of the red one got stuck while I was doing this and red paint went everyyyywhere. Luckily I was outside so I just sprayed the area with a hose and it was cleaned up very easily.

The purple and orange markers had a faster flow to the paint, so I had to make little circles elsewhere until the paint flow slowed down, then I was able to write with them.

The markers are a good size and I do think they will last a while. I expect the faster flow markers will run out sooner though.

Now for the only downside - they are nearly impossible to erase off of a chalkboard.

There is a little disclaimer on the packaging saying to test a small spot first “especially if you’re writing on a chalkboard”… but they are chalkboard markers, and advertised as such, so that was my intended use.

First I tried to erase these markers using a cloth and water. Hardly any color came off the board, and what did come off just smeared elsewhere on the board and got stuck there.

I thought I was going to have to return these, but then I looked up how to remove chalkboard paint from chalkboards and using a magic eraser and scrubbing HARD finally worked.

I would recommend these markers as long as you’re willing to get magic erasers to clean up afterwards.

I think these markers are excellent for their intended purpose. I have Chalk board paper up on walls/fridge/side of toy kitchen....etc. Kids were growing bored of traditional Chalk ( kids these days ) so we opted to try these. They really are great. No duds in our box. You really have to shake them with the caps ON and remove cap...press marker down for a few seconds and the tip will fill with liquid.

1 of the colors was used only moderately and appears to be finished. Thats upsetting for the price.

In one location ( the side of the toy kitchen ) my kids missed the Chalk board paper a couple of times and it took a lot of scrubbing with wet wash cloth to get the colors off. Some marker also dripped onto the carpet. This was pretty difficult to get off. I mean over 30 minutes but eventually it was basically gone.

This is not the products fault. It's mine. I had too many kids and too many markers at once. Just a heads up to parents.

On the dry erase board....I had to actually wash the board more than 5x to fully remove all the color. It did all come off, just takes time.

These are awesome! The consensus is accurate - make sure you're not writing on porous surface. Even chalkboards are tricky. I was SURE a charlkboard/burlap pin board/hook thing that legit looked real was totally non-porous. Nope. Mind you, my wife wrote on it in that beautiful vibrant purple and I went to wipe it off 5 days later. It DID come off with some Mr. Green AP cleaner. But it took some scrubbing and if you're reallllllly looking you can still see the note. Other than that - just know your surfaces and have a blast. It's just me and my wife and we have a blast with these. We leave notes for each other on the mirror. Write grocery lists on stainless steel fridge. Label mason jars. So on. All of these colors are vibrant and fun. There were several suggestions to get the chalk liquid flowing into the tip for the first time but what I found the most effective with just taking a piece of cardboard (or something of the like) and placing the writing tip down and then pressing the marker up and down. You'll see the chalk liquid fill the tip. PRO TIP: before you do this, pull the tip out and look at each end to decide which side you'd like to write with. you can change it at any point but might as well start it out the way you want, eh?! Totally worth the money. But you're going to need plain ol' colored chalk if you're just looking for some chalk for that chalk board.

Les crayons écrivent très bien et les couleurs ressortent bien également.
L'utilisation est plutôt simple, Il suffit de bien secouer le crayon que vous souhaitez utiliser puis de presser la mine sur une feuille pour bien recharger en encre la pointe. Ensuite laisser parler votre âme d'artiste 😉.

Privilégiez de préférence les couleurs très clair si vous ne remplissez pas l'intérieur de vos dessins sinon il ne seront pas assez visibles.

En ce qui concerne le remplissage de vos dessins, je vous conseille un remplissage comme sur mon dessin du squelette avec des rayures rapprochées qui donne visuel bien plus propre qu'un remplissage complet (lapin donnut d'une de mes filles).
Les crayons ont de grosse pointe donc privilégiez les dessins assez gros pour faciliter leur utilisations, mais si vous êtes à l'aise cela ne vous empêchera pas de dessiner de petit dessin.

Crayons achetés pour décoration des vitres pour halloween.

Les crayons écrivent très bien et les couleurs ressortent bien également.
L'utilisation est plutôt simple, Il suffit de bien secouer le crayon que vous souhaitez utiliser puis de presser la mine sur une feuille pour bien recharger en encre la pointe. Ensuite laisser parler votre âme d'artiste 😉.

Privilégiez de préférence les couleurs très clair si vous ne remplissez pas l'intérieur de vos dessins sinon il ne seront pas assez visibles.

En ce qui concerne le remplissage de vos dessins, je vous conseille un remplissage comme sur mon dessin du squelette avec des rayures rapprochées qui donne visuel bien plus propre qu'un remplissage complet (lapin donnut d'une de mes filles).
Les crayons ont de grosse pointe donc privilégiez les dessins assez gros pour faciliter leur utilisations, mais si vous êtes à l'aise cela ne vous empêchera pas de dessiner de petit dessin.

The pens are so easy to use, and easy to remove, and the chalky stuff comes out consistently and smoothly. The family have since decorated all the downstairs windows in an array of ‘art’ work - as my kids are 17, 19 and 23, you can imagine the eclectic effect they have created!
